Friedman
is an LA-based comedy writer who grew up in Cobb County, Georgia, where the school district once put "evolution is a theory, not a fact" stickers in the biology textbooks. She's worked for major media brands including CNN, ABC News, and Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Alex recently wrote on a Broadway Video romantic comedy scripted podcast for Audible (coming 2026) and also writes a bestselling politics + culture newsletter called Hot Tip.

Alex (closer to 30 than 35, for now) drinks an iced americano with a splash of oat milk through a plastic straw, because she needs fewer teeth stains and also thinks corporations should bear the brunt of fixing climate change. She drives a hybrid, though, so don't get mad at her.
Alex is hard at work on her new sci-fi rom com, or her 1600s husband murder pilot, or her late-night style newsletter, occasionally peeking up because a Haim sister or a man with good facial hair has walked in.
