Friedman
is an LA-based comedy writer who grew up in Cobb County, Georgia, where the school district once put "evolution is a theory, not a fact" stickers in the biology textbooks. She's worked for major media brands including CNN, ABC News, and Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Alex recently wrote on a Broadway Video romantic comedy scripted podcast for Audible (coming 2026) and also writes a bestselling politics + culture newsletter called Hot Tip.

Alex (closer to 30 than 35, for now) drinks an iced americano with a splash of oat milk through a plastic straw, because she needs fewer teeth stains and also thinks corporations should bear the brunt of fixing climate change. She carefully recycles at home, though, so don't get mad at her.
Alex is hard at work on her new sci-fi rom com, or her 1600s husband murder pilot, or her late-night style newsletter, occasionally peeking up because a Haim sister or a man with good facial hair has walked in.
